  • data must not be kept for longer than necessary

  1. uses a manager's password, without permission, to look at other staff members' salaries
  2. copies the customer database onto a USB drive to sell to a competitor
  3. installs expensive photo-editing software on all of the work computers, using a single-user licence bought for home use
